Family

Family was the most important thing in the world for Ester and unconditional love was a constant force in her life.

From her close childhood relationship with her parents, especially her father, and brother to becoming a mother, Ester valued family and unconditional love above all else.

It started as a child and the love she felt from her parents Yousef and Yona. Yousef would tell her and her brother Yehuda, I have two eyes, one for Ester and one for Yehuda.

Ester and her first husband Edward were married for 10 years, but they later divorced.  Being immigrants in a new country, neither with any family within thousands of miles, Edward and Ester had a very special bond. But something was missing.

Family for Ester took on new meaning after her divorce from Edward.

She married John Sweeney, an Irish Catholic graduate of Notre Dame Law School.  John was the second son (of 10 kids) of Marian and Raymond Sweeney. Ester and John started a family together and had two children, Sean (born in 1978) and Joseph (born in 1981).
